Man killed as pickup van hits motorbike in Odisha’s Boudh

Boudh: A person died after a pickup van hit a motorcycle on which he was travelling on Dhalpur-Purunakatak road in Odisha’s Boudh district, today.

The deceased has been identified as Hemant Rajsingh of Rath Sahi in Purunakatak area. He was heading towards Udaypur village on the two-wheeler when a pickup van hit it from rear.

Hemant fell from the motorbike and died on the spot. The driver of the pickup van fled the spot with the vehicle after the road mishap.

Police have recovered the body and sent it for post-mortem. Efforts are on to trace the pickup van and its driver, a police official said.
