Man kills his baby boy over family dispute in Odisha

In a shocking incident, a person allegedly killed his 1.5-year-old baby boy over family dispute in Mayurbhanj district of Odisha today.

The deceased was identified as Biswaranjan Patra, son of Lachhman Patra and Jyotsna of Jodapokhari village under Rairangpur police limits in the district.

According to reports, Jyotsna was staying at her father’s with her son following a quarrel with Lachhman.

However, the dispute between the two got settled on Sunday and Jyotsna came back to her husband with her child.

Today morning, Jyotsna noticed that the baby was not making any movement following which the child was taken to a nearby hospital where the infant was declared brought dead by doctor.

She has alleged that Lachhman killed the baby by strangulating the infant over family dispute.

Villagers nabbed Lachhman while he was trying to flee the spot and handed him over to cops.

Police have started investigation into the incident.
