Man kills pregnant wife over extramarital affair in Odisha

In a shocking incident, a pregnant woman was allegedly stabbed to death by her husband at Ichhapur village under Balikuda police limits in Odisha’s Jagatsinghpur district, reports said today.

According to sources, Harshavardhan Swain and Rinki, the couple, were staying separately for the last six months as Rinki had gone to her father’s house following frequent quarrels with her husband.

After Rinki returned to her husband’s house, they had a heated exchange of words following which Harshavardhan stabbed her with a knife leading to her death, sources added.

Harshavardhan surrendered at the police station after the incident. Primary investigation revealed that extramarital affair has led to the killing.
