Man kills wife, torches body over suspected extra-marital affair in Odisha

A person allegedly killed his wife and set the body on fire suspecting her of having an extramarital affair at MV-13 village in Odisha’s Malkangiri district last night.

According to reports, a quarrel had ensued between Manindra Beg (37) and Jamuna (33), the couple, over suspected extra marital affair. Some villagers had tried to resolve the matter but in vain.

The disturbance between the couple intensified last night following which Manindra killed Jamuna in a fit of rage. He later poured kerosene over the body and set it on fire.

The charred body was spotted by villagers in the backyard of the house this morning following which they nabbed Manindra and locked him inside a room. On being informed, police reached the spot and started investigation.
