Balangir: A man allegedly killed his wife and set the body on fire at Putalamahul village under Khaprakhol police limits in Odisha's Balangir district.

According to reports, a family dispute was prevailing between accused Debaraj Sahu and his wife.

A quarrel reportedly erupted between the two on Saturday morning. It took a violent turn as he killed the woman, packed the body in a sack and torched it at a secluded place in the village, late in the night.

As the matter came to fore, police investigated into the incident and arrested Debaraj, his brother and one of their relatives in this connection. All of them were forwarded to court.
