Man murdered over land dispute in Odisha’s Nabarangpur

Nabarangpur: A 55-year-old man was allegedly murdered over land dispute at Nisanahani village under Nandahandi block of Odisha’s Nabarangpur district today. The deceased has been identified as Sada Bhatra.

According to reports, Sada was harvesting paddy at a farmland during which Purna Bhatra of the village asked him not to do so claiming that the patch of land was owned by him.

An exchange of words ensued between the two which took an ugly turn as both started thrashing each other. In a fit of rage, Purna hit Sada with an iron rod as a result of which the latter sustained critical injuries.

Locals rescued Sada and took him to the district headquarters hospital, where doctor declared him brought dead.
