Man sentenced to life imprisonment for murder

The additional district and sessions judge Bhubaneswar B K Chand on Friday sentenced a person convicted in the murder of a city scrap trader Shiv Shankar Gupta to life time imprisonment.
Chand in his judgement at the end of the trial in the murder case sentenced Pradip Kumar Sahu of Jagatsinghpur to life time imprisonment.
Pradip had murdered Shiv Shankar , who was operating a scrap business at the Industrial Estate near Vani Vihar railway station here on 15 December 2008 , following a bitter enmity with the victim, police sources said.
Pradip who was running a hotel at Kochilai Hat at Rasulgarh was arrested by the Saheed Nagar police on the same day.
