Man shot dead by brother in Odisha’s Khordha

Khordha: In a shocking incident, a person was reportedly shot dead by his elder step-brother near Totapada in Odisha’s Khordha district today.

The deceased was identified as Mohammad Sabir, a betel shop owner.

The incident took place when Sabir was present near the shop. A bullet pierced his left eye following which he died on the spot, reports said.

The accused fled the spot soon after committing the act. Past enmity and family dispute are suspected to be the reasons behind the incident.

On being informed, police reached the spot and started investigation. Efforts were on to nab the accused step-brother of the deceased.
