Man shot dead in Keonjhar

Keonjhar, Nov 22:
A man was shot dead by a gang of unidentified miscreants here on Friday morning.

According to reports, five youths came in two bikes and fired at the man, Patel Mohanta alias Gurucharan from a close range near the local State Bank of India building.
Patel was rushed to the District Headquarters Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries later.
Meanwhile, police have launched a manhunt in the locality to nab the killers. Old rivalry is stated to be the reason behind the murder.
Patel who hails from Jalakaposi village under Bamebari police limits was staying at Baniapat in Keonjhar town and worked in the mining zone of Joda-Barbil, sources said.
