Man thrashes elder brother to death in Odisha’s Nabarangpur

Nabarangpur: In a shocking incident, a man allegedly thrashed his elder brother to death at Kerandi village under Dabugaon police limits in Odisha’s Nabarangpur district.

According to reports, accused Koni Majhi had on April 19 attacked Tularam Majhi (60), the deceased, with a lathi over a dispute following which the latter sustained critical injuries on his ear and face.

Tularam was initially admitted to Dabugaon community health centre and later shifted to the district headquarters hospital next day as his condition deteriorated.

However, he succumbed to his injuries late last night while undergoing treatment at the hospital. Acting on an FIR lodged by the villagers, police have arrested the accused.
