Manas Swain murder: CCTV photo of car used for carrying body surfaces

Bhubaneswar: In a fresh development in cameraman Manas Swain murder case, the Odisha Crime Branch, which is probing into the incident, has gathered the CCTV camera photos and videos of the car in which the body was carried by the accused for disposal.

The four-wheeler crossed a toll plaza in Tangi area on February 9 at 12.28 AM and again crossed it at around 2 AM in the return direction. The photos and videos of the same were captured on CCTV cameras installed there.

Allegedly, the accused had disposed of weapons and materials used in the murder on February 9 night, near Chandikhole.

On the other hand, the Crime Branch has sought the permission of court for Test Identification (TI) Parade of five accused. As many as three witnesses will be brought face-to-face before these accused.

So far, statements of four witnesses have been recorded before the Court of JMFC, Chandbali under Section 164 of CrPC.
