Many places in Odisha likely to witness rain tomorrow; Yellow Warning issued for 6 districts

Bhubaneswar: Many places in Odisha may witness light to moderate rain or thundershower from 8.30 am of August 27 to 8.30 am of August 28, predicted the regional centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD) here today.

The MeT department has issued a Yellow Warning of heavy rainfall at one or two places over the districts of Gajapati, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Nabarangpur, Koraput and Malkangiri during the period.

As per the prediction, thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Sonepur, Boudh, Nuapada, Balangir, Kalahandi Kandhamal, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam and Gajapati.

The IMD has also predicted light to moderate rain or thundershower at a few places over the districts of Odisha within 8.30 am of August 28 and 8.30 am of August 29.
