Maoists kidnap three villagers suspecting them police informers in Odisha

Bhawanipatna, Mar 16:

Maoists have kidnapped three villagers suspecting them as police informers in Odisha’s Kalahandi district, informed SP Brijesh Kumar Rai today.

The abductees have been identified as Hari Pradhani, Banamali Naik and Sudarsan Naik of Narlapat village under Thuamul-Rampur police limits in the district.

A group of 15-20 Maoists have abducted the trio, the SP said.

This apart, the red rebels have torched a bike of a Special Police Officer (SPO), the SP added.

Efforts were on by security forces to trace and rescue the kidnapped villagers.
