The team has been despatched to Mayurbhanj as the first step in the haunt for Bandara. ‘Once we get him, we hope to get a significant lead in the case,” said an officer of the theNayapalli police station.

A 35-year-old mason Braja Kishore Paramanik was hacked to death by Bandra suspecting him of having an extra-martial affair with his wife.

Police sources said the wife of the accused was working under Paramanik, who was a private contractor on the CRPF campus doing construction work, as a daily labourer. They had a love relationship since four years, they added.

The accused used to visit his home occasionally to meet his wife and two children staying in the city.
