The administration, which had served notices to the owner of these lands, has decided to demolish 89 buildings and compensate the owners.

The district administration plans to acquire the area adjacent to temple where the servitors would perform gupta niti (secret ritual) of the Lords.

The eviction will also help better traffic and security management.

The project is estimated at Rs 25 crore.

The servitors would carve the idol of the Lords and perform gupta niti at Koili Baikuntha inside the temple premises after the Banajaga Yatra.

However, considering the fact that the buildings around the temple area would affect the riruals of the Lords, the district administration has decided to demolish these buildings.

The district administration will acquire 30 feet of land from the evicted areas.

There are four Sthitiban plots around the temple while the remaining plots belong to the temple and mutts.
