Medicine shops to remain open during curfew in Odisha’s Bhadrak

In a good news for the residents of Bhadrak town in Odisha, who are facing inconvenience due to curfew in the area, Revenue Divisional Commissioner (RDC) Central Range, AB Ota today informed that medicines shops will remain open during the curfew period.

Addressing a press conference here, Ota said a meeting will be held with the peace committee soon to restore peace in Bhadrak.

However, media persons will not be present in the meeting. They will be briefed about the outcome of the meeting later, he said.

The RDC also advised media not to use provocative words.

Social media will remain blocked in Bhadrak till today evening, he said, adding that a decision over restoration of social media will be taken after review of the situation.

Damage suffered by the poor people during violence will be assessed and steps will be taken to compensate them, Ota said.
