Medicine stores to remain closed for a day in Odisha

Medicine stores across Odisha will remain closed for 24 hours tomorrow as Utkal Chemists and Druggists Association has extended its support to the strike called by All India Organisation of Chemists and Druggists.

The stir has been called protesting the online sale of medicines and e-portal by Central government for medicines.

In view of the strike, the state government has directed authorities of government hospitals to be in readiness with medicine stock under the Niramaya scheme, informed Health secretary Pramod Kumar Meherda.
