Mercury dips in Odisha, Thuamul Rampur coldest at 2 degree C

Bhubaneswar: The cold wave continues across Odisha with temperature dropped by two to three degree Celsius in many parts of the state.

While interior parts of the State are shivering under intense cold wave, Thuamul Rampur of Kalahandi district was the coldest town in Odisha with the lowest temperature 2 degree Celsius on Saturday night.

The minimum temperature in Kandhamal and Phulbani continues to record 3.5 degree Celsius in the past few days hitting the normal life in the districts.

The tourists thronged the places especially Ghu Udayagiri in Kandhamal district to witness thin layer of snowfall that covered the forest and grass in the early morning. The snowfall is continuing in Phulbani and Kadhamal districts in the past three days.

Severe cold was also experienced in coastal parts of Odisha with the drop of temperature especially during evening and night.
