Milk products will become dearer in Odisha from January 26.

Milk product traders of Cuttack on Monday announced a hike in the prices of cheese, paneer and raw khoa (dried whole milk or milk thickened by heating in an open iron pan) from January 26.

The Milk Product Traders Association of Cuttack, at its executive body meeting here on Monday, decided to hike cheese price by Rs 10 a kg, paneer by Rs 15 a kg and khoa price by Rs 20 a kg from January 26.

“From January 26 paneer will be sold at Rs 180 a kg, cheese at Rs 145 a kg and khoa at Rs 190 a kg”, said Pradeep Behera, General Secretary of the Association.

“Ssince OMFED raised the price of milk, we had no option but to hike prices of milk products,” he said.
