Milk products to be costlier in Odisha from Sept 1

Following the recent hike in the price of milk by the Odisha Milk Federation (OMFED), the milk product association of the state has decided to hike the prices of milk products from September 1.

Making an announcement to this effect on Thursday, secretary of Cuttack Milk Products Traders’ Association Pradip Behera said the Association has decided to hike the price of paneer (pressed cheese), chenna (soft cheese) and khoa (candied milk) from September 1.

As decided, the price of paneer now would be Rs 165 as against Rs 150 while the price of chhena will now cost Rs 135 as against Rs 125 at present.

Besides, the price of khoa will increase by Rs 20 to Rs 170 from Rs 150 at present, Behera added.
