Mini truck falls off bridge in Odisha’s Balangir; 2 killed, 5 injured

In a tragic incident, two persons were killed and five others critically injured when a mini truck fell off Jamasor bridge on NH-26 near Chhatamakhana in Odisha’s Balangir district early Monday morning.

The deceased were identified as plumbers hailing from Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj districts. The injured have been admitted to VIMSAR hospital in Burla for treatment.

According to reports, the ill-fated vehicle carrying the plumbers was on its way to Balangir from Sambalpur. The mishap took place when the driver of the mini truck lost control over the wheels following which it fell of the bridge killing two persons and injuring five.
