Minor girl beats grandmother to death in Bhadrak

Bhadrak: An elderly woman was beaten to death by her granddaughter at Lapang village under Bhandaripokhari police limits in Bhadrak district last night.

However, the identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained.

As per reports, an altercation erupted between the two over some issue last night. In a fit of rage, the minor girl started beating her grandmother with a pestle killing her on the spot.  Though the exact reason behind the alleged murder is yet to be ascertained, family feud is suspected to have led to the incident.

On receiving information,  the Bhandaripokhari police reached the spot and began an investigation into the incident. The cops also have detained the minor girl for interrogation.
