Minor girl critical after gangrape in Odisha’s Balasore

An 11-year-old girl is in a critical condition after being allegedly gangraped by unidentified youths on Tuesday in Odisha’s Balasore district.

As per reports, two unidentified youths abducted the victim asking her to identify a house yesterday in the afternoon when she was playing with her friends.

The family members began a search as the girl didn’t return home by evening. Later, she was rescued from near the national highway over-bridge nearby her village in a critical condition and admitted her to the hospital. The minor girl is undergoing treatments at Soro Community Health Centre (CHC).

Police have launched a probe into the case after the victim’s mother lodged a case of gangrape.

The incident occurred in Talanagar village under Soro police limits.
