Minor Maoist girl surrenders in Odisha’s Keonjhar dist

A 13-year-old girl, who had joined the Maoist outfit, surrendered before the police in Odisha’s Keonjhar district today.

A native of Baligotha village under Kalinganagar police station limits in Jajpur district, Rina was a cadre Maoist of the Kalinganagar Division.

Talking to the media, the SP said the minor Maoist girl expressed her desire to surrender after being ill-treated by her senior male cadre, who she said have deviated from the Maoist ideals.

“The Maoist girl, at the time of surrender, informed that the Maoists of Kalinganagar Division were involved in attack on Daitari police station, blasting off police beat house at Bansapal, attack on a liquor shop at Akula under Telkoi block and ransacking the forest beat house at Similipal”, Jalan informed.
