Minor raped, strangled to death in Odisha

Jajpur, Jan 4:

 In a shocking incident, a five-year-old girl’s body was found with injury marks near the railway tracks, late last night, near Panasia village, in Jajpur Road, Odisha.

The villagers suspecting the child to be unconscious had taken her to the local hospital, on Sunday, where the doctors declared her brought dead.

“The villagers had found the senseless child near the tracks, but the doctors said that the five-year-old child was already dead. She has probably been raped and than strangled to death,” a police officer said.

Her mother, a daily wage worker, has claimed it to be the handywork of someone in the village or neighbouring area.

“I had gone to work, when I came back, she was not at home. I searched everywhere and after someone said she was lying next to the railway tracks I rushed here,” said the anguished woman.

The police is further investigation the case.
