Misbehaviour with woman journo in bus in Odisha: Commissionerate Police closes case

Odisha Sun Times Bureau
Bhubaneswar, Apr 18:

The Twin City Commissionerate Police has closed the case of misbehaviour with a woman journalist in a moving bus in Odisha, informed Commissioner of Police YB Khurania today.

The accused couldn’t be identified as he is not a regular passenger, Khurania said, adding that the journalist refused to file a written complaint.

She had dialed 100 from her mobile phone but the call couldn’t be connected due to glitch on the part of service provider, he said.

Notably, the woman was misbehaved by a person in a moving bus last month when she was returning from her village in Kendrapara to Bhubaneswar.

The matter came to light when the woman took to social media to describe her ordeal.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had directed the Commissionerate Police to inquire into the matter and initiate action against the culprit.
