Miscreants hack fin company agent, loot cash in Odisha’s Khordha

Begunia: Unidentified armed miscreants allegedly attacked an agent of a finance company and looted Rs 1 lakh from his possession on Kharadapali-Thanapali road under Begunia police limits in Odisha’s Khordha district today.

According to reports, Dibya Prasad Sahu, agent of Annapurna Finance Private Limited, was returning home after collecting money from loanees. He was intercepted by four bike-borne miscreants on the road.

They tried to snatch the bag containing the cash and were resisted by Sahu. The attackers then hacked him with a sharp weapon and looted the cash.

The victim was rescued by locals and admitted to the Kalapathar community health centre. Police have started investigation into the incident.
