Miscreants injure 3 after unsuccessful loot bid in Odisha’s Berhampur

Berhampur: Armed miscreants allegedly injured three officials of a gold financing company here in Odisha’s Ganjam district after they failed to loot cash and valuables today.

According to reports, four masked persons barged into the office of IIFL gold loan company at Engineering School Road here around 10.30 am and threatened the officials at gunpoint.

They tried to loot gold and cash from the office, but in vain following which the miscreants attacked and injured three staffers of the company. The wrongdoers fled the spot soon after committing the act.

A complaint in this regard has been lodged at the BN Pur police station. Cops have started investigation into the incident and efforts are on to identify the looters on the basis of CCTV footage.
