Miscreants slit driver’s throat, loot vehicle in Odisha

Unidentified miscreants allegedly looted a vehicle from a person after attacking him and slitting his throat near Meramunduli in Odisha’s Jajpur district last night.

The victim, identified as Sanjay Dehury (25), a driver by profession, was rescued this morning with injuries on his neck and admitted to the district headquarters hospital for treatment.

According to sources, two miscreants attacked Sanjay near Meramunduli last night when he was on the way to Angul from Dhenkanal in a van. After injuring Sanjay grievously, the duo fled the spot with the vehicle.

Police have started investigation into the incident.
