Miscreants strangulate widow to death, loot ornaments in Odisha

Bhawanipatna, Mar 21:

Unidentified miscreants allegedly looted gold ornaments from a widow after strangulating her to death at Mukhiguda sector-2 under Jaipatna police limits in Odisha’s Kalahandi district late last night.

The deceased was identified as Shantilata Bewa (57).

The looters committed the crime after tying the woman’s hands and legs with rope, reports said.

On being informed, police reached the spot and started investigation into the incident.

The body was seized and sent for post-mortem.
