Missile ‘Pralay’ test fired off Odisha coast for 2nd consecutive day

Balasore: India successfully test fired indigenously developed surface-to-surface missile ‘Pralay’ from Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Island off the coast of Odisha around 9.35 am today, for the second consecutive day.

The test met all the parameters. This is the second successful test of the missile in the last 24 hours as it was also tested from the island yesterday.

For the very first time in the country, a developmental missile has been tested successfully on two consecutive days.

The missile is powered with solid propellant rocket motor and many new technologies. The missile has a range of 150-500 kilometre and can be launched from a mobile launcher.

The missile guidance system includes state-of-the-art navigation system and integrated avionics.
