Missing man’s skeleton unearthed after 10 years in Odisha, 3 arrested for killing him

Dhenkanal: The district police have solved the mystery shrouding the missing of a man ten years ago as his skeleton was unearthed in Sundarikhala area, yesterday.

As many as three persons were arrested over their alleged involvement in killing the man and burying his body to eliminate evidence.

The deceased has been identified as Dolagobinda Behera of Sundarikhala under Dhenkanal Town police limits.

According to police, the accused were suspecting that Dolagobinda was stealing their goats, for which they had laid electrically-charged wire to trap him.

On the fateful day in July of 2013, he came in contact with the live wire and died on the spot. The trio then buried his body.

As the three confessed to the crime after being arrested recently, police exhumed the skeleton by digging the place using an excavator. It has been sent to laboratory for testing.

On the other hand, the accused were forwarded to court.
