Mission Green: Sexagenarian Odisha man embarks on India tour on bicycle

Balasore:  Proving age is just a number,  63-year-old Sayad Faizan Ali from Kendrapara district in Odisha has set out for a 7000-km cycle tour envisioning a  pollution-free environment and road safety.

The sexagenarian, who began his tour from his village Jayapura in Kendrapara  on October 20, reached Balasore today. After reaching, the activist received a rousing welcome by district officials, including  Collector K Sudarshan Chakravarthy,  Sub-Collector Nilu Mohapatra and RTO Vikas Kumar Choudhury.  They felicitated Faizan Ali and wished him luck for his journey.

On the occasion, Faizan Ali shared about his 80-days journey plan and its objective with the district officials and members of various social outfits.

“I have planned to complete the awareness campaign in 80 days.  I will cover Ranchi, Banaras, Lucknow, Agra, Delhi, Jammu, Amritsar, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Bhopal, Jabalpur during the expedition and return to Odisha via Jharsuguda,” he said.
