Mission Shakti Bhawan to come up in 30 Odisha districts

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today announced the District Mission Shakti Bhawan will be established in each district of the State. He added Rs 1 crore will be sanctioned to each district for the Mission Shakti Bhawan.

While launching an e-marketing platform for products prepared by SHGs, Patnaik informed Mission Shakti houses are also being constructed at every panchayat and ward.

He also laid foundation stone virtually for the Mission Shakti market on the premises of the SIRD campus in Bhubaneswar.

Patnaik directed the Mission Shakti department to resolve issues of the SHG members after holding talks with them. He also announced to provide allowance to Mission Shakti Federation Executive Committee members towards travel and other expenses. The State government has sanctioned Rs 200 crore for the same.

Allowances will be provided to community support staff at panchayat level for purchase of uniform, the Chief Minister announced.

Among others, Minister Tukuni Sahu, Chief Secretary SC Mahapatra, Secretary Sujata Karthikeyan, 5T Secretary VK Pandian and other officials were present during the programme.
