Ambedkar, the architect of India’s constitution, was born in Mhow, part of Indore district of Madhya Pradesh.

‘Gram Uday se Bharat Uday’ (India’s uplift through rural uplift) is a government campaign to be conducted from Ambedkar birth anniversary on 14th April to ‘National Panchayati Raj Day’ on 24 April.

Its aim is to strengthen Panchayati Raj (three tier self-government system in rural areas) and through it boost social harmony in the villages and their development. (IANS)
