Bhubaneswar: In what could be termed as a major respite from heat wave conditions, the Southwest Monsoon today advanced to Odisha covering three districts of the state, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
The monsoon hit most parts of Malkangiri district and some areas of Koraput and Gajapati districts, the agency said.
Conditions are favourable for further advancement of Southwest Monsoon to entire state within the next two days, it added.
On the other hand, the Regional Meteorological Centre here has issued heavy rainfall warning (Yellow Warning) for many districts of the state till June 26.
