Monthly stipend of house surgeons increased in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Government has increased the monthly stipend of house surgeons from existing Rs 20,000 to Rs 28,000 with effect from January 1, 2021.

The enhancement will prevail for a period of three years.

The development came after house surgeons of Government medical college and hospitals across the state threatened to intensify their agitation if their demand for the same is not met.
