Motorcyclist killed, another critical in Athagarh road mishap

Athagarh: A person was killed while another sustained grievous injuries in a road mishap at Jenapada Chhak under Athagarh police limits in Cuttack district today.

The deceased has been identified as Pramod Rout, son of Babaji Rout of Pratapsasan area in Balakati of Khordha district.

As per sources, four youth from Balakati village under Balianta police limits were travelling on two motorcycles in wee hours today. Midway, an unidentified vehicle rammed into one of the motorcycles at Jenapada Chhaka around 5 AM. While Pramod died on the spot, his friend Bijay Behera was rushed to Community Health Centre(CHC) here in critical condition.

After receiving information, a police team reached the spot and began an investigation into the incident.
