Move to check street crimes: Hotels, lodges in Odisha capital asked to update guest details on SARAI App

Bhubaneswar: In a bid to check the rising number of street crimes, including drug smuggling, the Commissionerate Police has decided to keep an eye on people checking into various hotels and lodges coming under the Bhubaneswar Urban Police District.

Hence, owners of all hotels and lodges under Bhubaneswar Urban Police District have been asked to madatorily install  SARAI mobile application and update all information, including details of their guests on a daily basis, informed Police Commissioner Saumendra Priyadarshi at a presser here today.

On the occasion, the CP also launched Basti Chal programme to review various issues faced by slum dwellers and take necessary steps accordingly. Under the programme, a police team headed by a DCP will visit slum areas four times every month.
