Moving SUV catches fire in Odisha’s Balasore, 3 saved

Balasore: A moving SUV carrying three persons was completely burnt after it caught fire here today. No casualty was reported in the incident as they managed to come out of the vehicle safely.

The incident took place at ITI square in Balasore town, where the SUV ‘Renault Duster’ bearing the number OD 02B 1221, suddenly caught the fire.

The vehicle was on its way to Balasore from Bhubaneswar carrying three persons – all are employees of Motorola, a smartphone company. Before reaching the destination, the ill-fated SUV met with an accident.

The officials, who were saved in the mishap, were identified as Bhupesh Kumar Singh of Niali, Ranbir Mishra of Buxi Bazaar, Cuttack and Sunil Singh of Uttar Pradesh.

On getting the information, two fire tenders reached the spot to douse the flames.

However, the reason behind the incident is not clear so far.
