Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister and BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik will attend the Biju Krushak Janata Dal’s dharna scheduled to be held in New Delhi on January 8 over the issues of farmers and address the rally.

Informing about it at a press meet here today, BJD Rajya Sabha MP and Biju Krushak Janata Dal’s president Prasanna Acharya said a day-long dharna will be staged by the party at the Talkatora Stadium in New Delhi. BJD MPs, MLAs, district presidents, members of the Biju Chhatra Janata Dal and Biju Mahila Janata Dal will join the dharna.

On the very day, a memorandum will be submitted to the President of India by the party demanding hike in Minimum Support Price (MSP) of paddy for the farmers to Rs 2,930 per quintal, Acharya said.
