Murderous attack leaves trader critical in Odisha’s Cuttack

Cuttack: A trader was critically injured after unidentified miscreants launched a murderous attack on him in Malgodown area of Odisha’s Cuttack city late last night.

According to reports, Damodar Bhawsinka, owner of a sugar mill, was stabbed by the miscreants with sharp weapon. He sustained grievious injuries and was admitted to the SCB Medical College and Hospital here for treatment.

Police have started investigation into the case. Though the reason behind the attack is yet to be ascertained, it is suspected that the incident was a fallout of extortion.
