Mystery woman records statement in Odisha court, again

The controversial medico, who accompanied self-proclaimed Odisha godman Srimad Sarathi Dev alias Santosh Roul to Hyderabad, recorded her statement for the second time before the Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) court here under section 164 of the CrPC.

Based on the FIR (19/2015) with Crime Branch, the woman recorded her statement today.

Earlier, the woman had recorded her statement based on the first FIR (17/2015) filed at Mangalabag police staiton. The woman, a final year student of SCB medical College here, had filed an FIR against four persons accusing them of blackmailing her for over four months and forcing her to accompany the Baba to Hyderabad where she spent three nights with him in the first week of July.

Earlier in the day, one Surendra Mallick, the manager of Sarathi Baba’s Barimula ashram, recorded his statement in a Kendrapara court. A three member team of Crime Branch was reportedly present during the procedure.
