Narrow escape for 7-yr-old Odisha boy as cobra rescued from his shoe

Bhubaneswar: A seven-year-old boy of Patia area in Odisha capital had a narrow escape today as a cobra was rescued from his shoe.

According to reports, Rishav Rout, the minor boy, was bitten by a baby cobra while wearing his school shoe as the reptile was present inside the footwear. Luckily, the impact was not fatal as he had already worn socks.

He was immediately rushed to the Capital Hospital here and his condition is stated to be stable after treatment.

On being informed, Snake Helpline member reached the spot and rescued the snake from the shoe.
