National Entrance Screening Test (NEST)-2016 will be held on May 28 next year across the country, including Odisha.
For admission to the 5-year Integrated M.Sc program in basic sciences – Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics, the candidates would appear for the entrance test at 52 major towns and cities all over India. The examination will be conducted on May 28 from 10.00 am to 1.00 pm.
The application process will begin from January 4, 2016 to March 4, 2016. Candidates will be able to apply online at the official website—www.nestexam.in.
The test will be held for admissions to the NISER Bhubaneswar--National Institute of Science Education and Research and UM-DAE CBS Mumbai-- University of Mumbai - Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences. Both NISER Bhubaneswar and CBS are autonomous institutions established by Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India, in 2007.
Other institutions accepting NEST 2016 score are: Integrated Science Education and Research Center (ISERC) and Visva Bharati, West Bengal.
Candidates will be screened for admission to 100 seats at NISER Bhubaneswar and 45 at CBS.
Applicants will be able to download their admit card from April from the official website.
The results will likely be declared in June next year.
