Bhubaneswar: An Air India flight to New Delhi was today cancelled due to technical snag before take off at Biju Patnaik International Airport in Odisha capital.
As per reports, the Air India flight AI-78 suffered a technical glitch on the runway while it was preparing for take off.
The passengers were deboarded and the flight was cancelled giving rise to resentment among the flyers.
International chess player Padmini Rout was among the aggrieved passengers who were disembarked from the flight.
“It is really disappointing that the flight has been cancelled. I was to attend the inaugural ceremony of Commonwealth Chess Championship today. The flight is likely to take off later in the evening which is going to the tiring,” Padmini Rout said.
Sources said that fault was detected in the braking system and aircraft maintenance engineers have been engaged to sort out the issue. The flight will be ready for take off in the evening.
