Nilai: There is no stopping to the killing of sheep by an unidentified mysterious animal in Nilai area of Odisha’s Cuttack district despite patrolling by the Forest department as the creature reportedly killed yet another sheep at Pokhari village, 18 km away from here, yesterday.

According to reports, the killer animal entered inside the shed during heavy rainfall last night and killed a sheep belonging to Arakhita Das of the village.

The pugmarks of the animal are visible in the shed, reports added.

The mystery animal, suspected to be a wolf or a pack of wolves locally called rama siyala, had yesterday killed two sheep at Baharana village in the area.

Notably, over 150 sheep have been killed by the unidentified creature in Niali area in the last 45 days leading to panic among the locals who are spending sleepless nights with youths guarding the area armed with sticks and torches to nab the killer.
