Puri: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman today visited the Shree Jagannath Temple here and offered prayers to the deities. She is currently on a two-day tour to Odisha.
Joining her in the visit to the temple were Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, along with BJP national spokesperson Sambit Patra, and MLAs Jayanta Sarangi and Lalitendu Bidyadhar Mohapatra.
The Finance Minister is scheduled to participate in a sand art session, themed 'Meri Maati Mera Desh,' conducted by renowned sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik.
Upon her return to Bhubaneswar, Sitharaman, accompanied by Pradhan, will take part in the launch of a book. She will also attend the inauguration of the 20th National CA Conference in the capital city.
Notably, the Finance Minister's visit to Odisha commenced on Wednesday night.
