NMB Memo Tourney : Scan beat Rameswar, reach semifinals

In a closely contested match today Scan Sporting beat Rameswar Sporting by 3 wickets and reached the semi final round of the 40-40 Old Monk Club Soda NM Bhuyan Memorial tourney being organised by Mukteswar Cricket Club at the BJB College ground here.
Rameswar Sporting won the toss and elected to bat first.
Rameswar put up 205 with useful contributions from Prasant Bhoi (44), Priyabrata Pradhan (39) and Rajesh Mohapatra (24). For Scan Sporting Rabindra Nayak (3/44) was the most successful bowler while Pravanjan Mallick and Suman Mishra bagged two wickets each.
Despite loss of important wickets causing an early set back Scan Sporting managed to score the winning run with three overs to spare.
For Scan, H. Sahoo scored a quickfire 76 runs and was ably supported by Sukant Das (32) , Yusuf Khan (30) and Gourav Mohapatra (29).
Paul Robin ( 3/30) and Debabrata Mallia (2/33 ) were the most impressive of Rameswar Sporting bowlers.
H.Sahoo of Scan Sporting who was adjudged the Man of the Match, received a cash award from Director, SN Mohanty Group Prabodh Mohanty.
