No decision on opening of crackers shops yet: Cuttack DCP

Cuttack: A day after saying that firecrackers shops will open in the city ahead of Diwali, Cuttack DCP Prateek Singh today said no decision has been taken in this regard yet.

“Though several applications have been received for license to sell firecrackers, the decision of the Government in this regard is awaited, ” said Singh.

Yesterday, the senior cop had informed that Kali Puja will be celebrated in the city in adherence to COVID-19 guidelines. As many as 15 platoons of police force and 50 officers will be deployed during the Puja here,
